Job summary

Federated Hermes, Inc., headquartered in Cleveland, is seeking an International Equity Analyst to join the International Growth team focusing on growth‑oriented stocks. The ideal candidate will have some investment experience and a passion for learning.

Responsibilities include in‑depth research, financial modeling, country/sector analysis, and presenting ideas to portfolio managers. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; CFA progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree required; coursework in economics, international relations, political economy, finance, accounting or advanced degree and/or CFA or progress towards CFA helpful
• Up to three years of experience in a professional/corporate environment; exposure to asset management and international economics or cultures preferred
• Investment experience preferred but not required
• Advanced skills including proficiency with Word, Excel and possibly Bloomberg and FactSet preferred
• Strong desire to pursue a career in investment and international markets; participation in investment clubs etc. preferred
• Strong work ethic, analytical, oral and written communication, and decision‑making skills required in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Initiate, perform and maintain in‑depth research and analysis of international equity markets to provide investment recommendations
• Formulate investment ideas and clearly articulate to team and portfolio managers for inclusion in the portfolio
• Remain apprised of country, currency, political, company-specific and industry trends
• Maintain cash sheets, sell side discipline, relative growth and top‑down models and spreadsheets
• Gather macro country, sector and company data to assist in determining recommendations
• Monitor news sources globally with focus on designated region
• Analyze financials and model earnings growth; compare portfolios to benchmarks
• Review analyst, company, and industry reports and participate on earnings calls
• Run screening models and generate reports to support investment process
• Prepare marketing presentations and security investment one pagers
• Participate in investment meetings within the firm
