Job description

REPORTS TO Joel McAllister, VP of eCommerce

ABOUT THE ROLE

The International eCommerce Manager is the dedicated owner of HydroJug's international Amazon business — a P1 hire on the eCommerce team reporting to Joel McAllister (VP of eCommerce). Where Miljan Sretenovic (Marketplace Manager) owns domestic marketplace performance, this role mirrors that mandate across every international Amazon storefront: Canada, the UK, the EU, Australia, Japan, and markets beyond. You will own international P&L, listing health, compliance, localization, deal strategy, and cross-border logistics at the account level. You'll partner closely with Miljan to ensure cross-channel consistency and avoid conflicting strategies across geographies.

This is a senior IC seat with real ownership — not a coordinator role. You are the person accountable for whether HydroJug's international Amazon business grows, complies, and converts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • International Amazon P&L: Own revenue, contribution margin, and sell-through performance across all active international Amazon storefronts (CA, UK, EU, AU, JP and expansion markets). Track and report on a cadence that keeps Joel McAllister and finance informed.
  • Buy-Box Management: Monitor and defend buy-box ownership across all international ASINs. Identify and remediate suppression, price parity issues, and third-party undercutting on international storefronts.
  • Catalog & Listing Health: Maintain clean, compliant, high-quality catalog data across all international marketplaces. Audit and resolve listing errors, suppressed ASINs, and content gaps proactively.
  • A+ Content Localization: Own the localization of A+ content and listing copy for each market — accurate translation, culturally appropriate messaging, unit/sizing adaptation (metric vs. imperial), and market-specific SEO.
  • International Deal & Promo Calendar: Plan and execute HydroJug's participation in Amazon's international promotional events — Prime Day equivalents (UK Prime Day, AU Prime Day, etc.), international holiday promotions, and regional deal structures. Coordinate timing and offer strategy with Miljan to avoid domestic-international conflicts.
  • Regional Pricing & Compliance: Set and maintain regional pricing logic that accounts for FX, duties, competitive positioning, and Amazon's pricing policies for each market. Ensure listings meet all regional compliance requirements (language laws, regulatory labeling, product certification markings — CE, RoHS, etc.).
  • Cross-Border Shipping & Duties: Partner with logistics and Operations teams to manage international fulfillment configurations — FBA international vs. cross-border FBM, inbound routing, duties classification, and HS code accuracy. Surface issues before they create compliance risk.
  • Platform Compliance & Case Management: Own Seller Central account health for all international accounts. Manage compliance escalations, performance notifications, and case resolution for international storefronts. Zero tolerance for unresolved international compliance suspensions.
  • Cross-Channel Consistency with Miljan: Align with the domestic Marketplace Manager on pricing, promotional windows, product launch sequencing, and catalog strategy so that domestic and international operations reinforce each other rather than conflict.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
30 Days
  • Full audit of current international Amazon storefronts completed: catalog health, listing quality scores, buy-box rates, active suppressions, and A+ content gaps documented by market.
  • Existing compliance and case escalation backlog cleared or triaged.
  • Working cadence established with Miljan Sretenovic and Joel McAllister.
90 Days
  • Listing quality gaps remediated; all active ASINs per market in healthy status.
  • A+ content localization roadmap defined; at least one market fully refreshed.
  • International promotional calendar built through end of year and aligned with domestic promo cadence.
  • Regional pricing reviewed and updated; FX and duty risk assessed.
  • First full monthly international performance report delivered to Joel McAllister.
180 Days
  • International marketplace revenue tracking measurably upward; at least one new market or ASIN expansion initiated.
  • Buy-box rate at or above internal targets across all active international storefronts.
  • Cross-border fulfillment configuration reviewed and optimized; cost-per-unit landed documented by market.
  • Miljan alignment operating as a smooth rhythm, not an exception process.
  • You have run Amazon international accounts before — not just read about them. You know how Seller Central international differs market by market, where compliance requirements diverge, and how to build listings that convert in a language other than English.
  • You treat compliance as table stakes, not a backlog item. International accounts have unique regulatory exposure and you proactively manage it, not reactively.
  • You are commercial, not just operational. You own a P&L and you think like it — balancing listing quality, promotional investment, and fulfillment cost against margin.
  • You collaborate without needing to be managed. Miljan is your peer — you build alignment through communication and shared planning, not through Joel as an intermediary.
  • You can localize analytically and creatively. You understand regional pricing dynamics, FX implications, and market-specific customer behavior, and you use that knowledge to make better decisions.
REPORTING & ORGANIZATION
  • Reports to: Joel McAllister, VP of eCommerce
SUCCESS CRITERIA
  • International marketplace revenue + contribution margin (by storefront)
  • Buy-box % across all international ASINs
  • Listing quality score by market
  • Zero international compliance suspensions
