Job summary

The International Center in Indianapolis is seeking a Protocol Intern to support Indiana’s Office of Protocol. You will assist with training, event planning, and logistics for visiting dignitaries, helping with flag displays and research.

You will gain exposure to international relations, etiquette, and project management through hands-on assignments, briefing books, and reports, while contributing to a collaborative, mentoring environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of international flag protocol and proper flag display.
• Ability to learn inventory management and organizational practices.
• Research and compile concise information across nations.

Responsibilities

• Curates The International Center’s United Nations flag collection.
• Assists in planning, developing, and implementing meetings, events, and protocol activities for clients.
• Research protocol and etiquette for various countries and produces briefing books, tip sheets, and presentations.
• Prepares protocol activity report.
