Job description

The Account Representative performs servicing and operational functions on behalf of the International Banking Officers. The Account Representative can effectively identify and resolve the customer's banking needs to ultimately expand share of wallet by providing a high level of customer engagement including deposition and loan growth and cross‑functional wealth management referrals. The ideal candidate is able to migrate customers to HVC level accounts ($250k+).

Primary Accountabilities

• Perform fundamental operational tasks such as account openings, handling all types of consumer and business deposit products, new or renewal of CDs, issuing cashiers' checks, issuing debit cards, preparing account opening related forms, customer request forms, SBLC renewal, and other banking related functions. Support the International Banking Officer.
• Provide service to Japanese customers as branch personal bankers periodically.
• Manage and assist in the administrative duties and tasks for the group.
• Perform office administrator tasks.
• Ensure daily operational efficiency in compliance with regulations and CPB policies and procedures.
• Team player: Assist team members in management and achievement of goals, portfolio and accountabilities. Act as a backup to all operational tasks for International Banking Officers.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.

International Corporate Banking Account Representative I:

• 2+ years of experience in customer service or related required.
• Banking experience preferred.

International Corporate Banking Account Representative II:

• 3+ years of experience in customer service or related required.
• Banking experience preferred.

Functional Skills:

• Proficiency in Japanese language required; ability to read, write, and communicate in a business setting.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to perform light physical work and move or lift items including boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment including phone, copier, personal computer and other electronic devices and applications.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also hear sufficiently for daily discussions and interactions.
• Must read and understand bank‑related documents.
• Must work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods. Must adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
