As an Internal Strategy & Process Consulting Associate I, you will work as part of a consulting engagement team solving complex business and transformation challenges across JPMorgan Chase. You will help translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses, conduct stakeholder discovery, analyze qualitative and quantitative information, and develop insights and recommendations. You will own defined analyses, deliverables, or portions of a workstream with guidance from senior consultants. You will collaborate with teams to understand and optimize processes, enhancing operational efficiency. Your work will require initiative and judgment to resolve challenges and propose strategic improvements. You will analyze data, craft compelling narratives, and work with diverse teams to achieve common goals. You will also use enterprise-approved GenAI and digital tools to accelerate high-quality consulting work while critically evaluating outputs and applying sound judgment.

Job Responsibilities

• Break down complex business problems using structured and hypothesis-driven problem solving; conduct analyses that lead to clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Own defined analyses, deliverables, or portions of a workstream from planning through completion, with guidance from senior consultants; proactively manage commitments, communicate progress and risks, and support the broader engagement team in delivering high quality outcomes
• Collaborate with project teams to conduct stakeholder interviews, synthesize qualitative findings, and rapidly develop working knowledge of unfamiliar business domains.
• Analyze data and visualize business processes to identify root causes, performance gaps, customer or employee pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop clear, executive-ready presentations and other consulting work products that connect evidence to insights, implications, and recommended actions.
• Support workshops and working sessions, including preparation, facilitation support, synthesis, and follow-up.
• Use enterprise-approved GenAI/LLM tools to accelerate research, synthesis, analysis, ideation, and development of consulting deliverables while validating outputs for accuracy, quality, and appropriate use.
• Collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams; actively support teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to an inclusive, high-performing consulting culture grounded in teamwork, continuous learning, and collective success.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Professional work or internship experience with a proven track record of developing strategic business recommendations or improvements that deliver measurable results.
• Demonstrated structured problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data and qualitative information into insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience developing clear presentations or other business deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, and balance individual ownership with shared accountability for team outcomes.
• Ability to manage assigned work with ownership, attention to detail, speed, and sound judgment.
• Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar topics quickly.
• Demonstrated fluency using digital and/or GenAI tools to improve knowledge work, with appropriate validation and judgment.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Approximately 1+ years of relevant professional experience; strong internship or equivalent project experience may be considered.
• Management consulting, internal consulting, strategy, transformation, process improvement, analytics, or financial services experience.
• Experience with process mapping, customer journeys, operating models, automation, analytics, or transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated foundational understanding of AI concepts, with the ability to identify business processes and opportunities where AI solutions can be effectively implemented to drive operational improvement and innovation.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to identify and implement process improvement opportunities across departments.
