King County Metro Transit’s Internal Strategy team seeks a Project/Program Manager IV (PPM IV) to lead strategic internal communication efforts, manage complex projects, and support major leadership forums. This role is responsible for developing clear, consistent, and engaging internal communications; producing multimedia content; coordinating high-impact leadership meetings; and driving operational alignment across the Employee Services Division (ESD).
The PPM IV partners closely with HR leadership, Employee Services teams, and cross-functional groups to ensure messaging reflects Metro’s values, equity priorities, and organizational goals. Work Location: This position follows a hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of 2 days per week onsite at King Street Center consistent with King County Metro's hybrid work policy. Remote workdays may be adjusted based on operational or business needs. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
The work week is normally 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Alternative work schedules may be possible. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and therefore is not eligible for overtime pay.
