Compensation

$16.88 per hour, combining an hourly wage of $13.25 and average tips of $3.63 per hour earned at this location.

Summary

As a Shift Supervisor, you build leadership skills and guide restaurant operations during scheduled shifts. You support training for new hires, program rollouts, and maintain standards. You lead the squad, ensure smooth operations, and serve as a role model for MOD’s purpose in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work, using deployment charts to keep operations running smoothly.
• Train newly hired or promoted squad members and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment to meet restaurant goals, including technology such as online ordering, catering, fundraising, and review systems.
• Use and reference MOD tools and standards to keep food safe in both back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house.
• Listen, acknowledge, and resolve squad member and guest concerns; escape issues to the AM or GM as appropriate.
• Manage cash accurately, including making change, accessing cash in the safe, and processing refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed, supported by the GM.
• Adhere to opening, midday, and closing shift checklists and use all tools available to execute requirements in a timely manner.
• Review email regularly to stay updated on and communicate useful information from the Slice and other relevant sources to squad members.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader.
• Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Success in following and enforcing processes and standards; corrective coaching in a compassionate manner.
• Ability to remain calm during high‑volume periods.
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date or sooner where required by law.
• Proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Ability to support restaurant hours by working a minimum of three shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours as determined by General Manager or District Manager.
