Job summary

UHS is seeking a phlebotomy skilled professional in Las Vegas to perform venipunctures and specimen collections under moderate supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy training, and certification on hire with licensure within 6 months if applicable. Prior lab/ER experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within VHS and UHS subsidiaries.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program.

Technical Skills

Basic computer knowlege required.

License/Certification

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.

Other

Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.
