Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory testing. You will maintain equipment, monitor temperatures, and help manage phlebotomy supplies to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate holds a California phlebotomy certification, high school diploma, and comfortable working under pressure in a clinical lab environment with strong data transfer skills.

Phlebotomist

Follows established procedures to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory testing.

Ability to complete the duties and responsibilities of this position accurately and efficiently regardless of the pressures of the environment

Sufficient technical knowledge and skills to support the needs of the organization

Verbal and written communication skills to support the efficient and effective transfer of data/information

In order to demonstrate competency in serving acute care, and critical care patients, the employee must demonstrate the skills/knowledge/resources of laboratory services population specific learning module.

Demonstrated baseline competency in all areas of the indicated skill rosters meets standard

Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred

High School Graduate/equivalent preferred

Valid Phlebotomy Certification from the State of California required

Current BLS (AHA) required
