Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in Minnesota seeks an Internal Operations Intern in our Mankato or Owatonna offices to support tax-document workflows and client service.

The internship runs January 2027 through April 2027. You will assist with intake, document organization, and processing to help meet deadlines while gaining accounting/finance exposure.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and Microsoft Office.

• Reviews and organizes client incoming tax documents.
• Assists with intake of tax information and prepares for routing.
• Ensures all client documents are tracked and current.
• Organizes, scans and processes tax documents.
• Assembles client tax returns following established procedures.
• Assists team in meeting government deadlines.
• E-filing and other final delivery steps.
• Other responsibilities may include preparation of informational tax documents.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews and organizes client incoming tax documents.
• Assists with intake of tax information and prepares for routing.
• Ensures all client documents are being tracked and kept current.
• Organizes, scans and processes tax documents.
• Assembles client tax returns following established procedures.
• Assists team in meeting strict government deadlines.
• E-filing and other final delivery type steps.
• Other responsibilities may include preparation of informational tax documents.
• General operational support and other responsibilities/tasks as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Working towards the achievement of a bachelor’s degree – Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact the position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $19 - $23.
