South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner in Columbia, SC, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for the Internal Medicine team. You will manage daily flow, coordinate diagnostics, and maintain medical records while delivering exceptional patient and client care.

The ideal candidate has a strong veterinary foundation, excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to adapt in a busy, complex environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent experience in veterinary practice.
• Proficiency in routine veterinary technical procedures including IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, sample collection, injection administration, patient restraint, and safe use of equipment.
• Leads with empathy and compassion; provides thoughtful, professional service to clients and patients.

Responsibilities

• Owns the flow of the day within the Internal Medicine team, keeping appointments and procedures moving.
• Coordinates diagnostics and treatments and maintains accurate medical records.
• Works closely with doctors, clients, and teammates to ensure a high level of care and professionalism.
• Remains calm and focused under pressure and communicates clearly with diverse personalities.
