Job summary

AAVMP in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for Internal Medicine and Specialty Care. You will work with board-certified Internal Medicine specialists, manage high-acuity cases, and support anesthesia and critical care in a mentorship-focused hospital.

This full-time role offers a four-day work week (Tuesday–Friday), no weekends, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, CE PTO, VTS support, and growth opportunities across the Innovetive Petcare network.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Tennessee or eligible for licensure.
• 2-3+ years of experience in Internal Medicine, Emergency, or Specialty practice.
• Strong technical proficiency in anesthesia and patient monitoring, diagnostic procedures and sample handling, and critical patient care.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work with board-certified Internal Medicine specialists and emergency team.
• Assist with advanced diagnostic procedures and manage high-acuity cases.
• Provide advanced monitoring for hospitalized and critical care patients.
• Support anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery.
• Administer medications and manage treatments with precision.
• Collaborate with veterinarians for client education and case updates.
