PetVet Care Centers' VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in Englewood, Colorado is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, maintain equipment, assist with exams, and ensure a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners and record basic info upon arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with physical exams, treatments and medications under supervision.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain hospital equipment and facilities, including cleaning and safety measures.
• Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records.
• Promote hospital products and services and support the organization.
