This full‑time educator position emphasizes clinical teaching, patient‑centered care, and leadership within the program, with a minimum 0.6 FTE dedicated to residency education and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in Illinois.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience post-residency (preferred).
• Prior experience in graduate medical education or academic teaching (preferred).
• Demonstrated commitment to resident education, clinical excellence, and scholarly contribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and instruction to residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic lectures, case conferences, and procedure training aligned with ACGME competencies.
• Mentor and advise resident physicians for professional growth and well‑being.
• Fulfill the ACGME requirement of at least 0.6 FTE devoted to residency education.
• Maintain an active clinical practice in the hospital’s outpatient clinic and inpatient service.
• Model evidence‑based, compassionate family‑centered care.
• Engage in scholarly activities including quality improvement, research, and presentations.
