Job summary

Adventist Health Tulare Internal Medicine Residency Program seeks an Internal Medicine physician to join as Core Faculty Member. You will balance teaching, clinical care and program leadership to train future internists in a mission-driven setting.

The role emphasizes supervision of residents in inpatient and outpatient care, didactic teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activity within an ACGME-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine is required.
• Eligibility for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Experience teaching residents or medical students preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• devote ~16 hours weekly to residency administration, education and resident supervision.
• Provide clinical supervision, instruction and mentorship to Internal Medicine residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Facilitate didactic lectures, case conferences, journal clubs and simulation activities.
• Support resident wellness, professional development and career planning.
• Assist in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation to align with ACGME requirements.
• Maintain an active clinical practice in Internal Medicine.
