Job summary

Ridge Meadows Hospital (RMH) is recruiting three internists/subspecialists with GIM focus to join our group of nine full and part-time physicians. The successful candidates will be most responsible for the sickest inpatients and provide consultative support across specialties within RMH and affiliated services.

RMH serves Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, with a strong teaching affiliation with the University of British Columbia, requiring clinical appointments and active participation in resident

Qualifications

• CPSBC certification and FRCPC in Internal Medicine required.
• CMPA coverage demonstrated.
• Proficient in lumbar puncture, central line insertion, and chest tubes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the most responsible physician for the sickest inpatients and provide consultative support to hospitalists and subspecialists.
• Expand the daytime internist coverage to three physicians and support the hospitalist program.
• Follow up with patients in the community and encourage establishing a consult-focused practice.
• Teach residents, fellows and medical students as part of the university teaching affiliation.
