Optum is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join the team in Los Alamitos, CA. The role emphasizes patient-centered care over volume, with a focus on addressing each patient’s needs in a collaborative environment.

As part of Optum Care Delivery, you’ll have strong resources and support from a national organization. Expect dedicated administrative time, a Medical Assistant, and opportunities for professional growth and leadership within a diverse, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree or equivalent.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted CA medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Active BLS certification.
• Minimum 1–3 years of primary care experience.
• Computer proficient and comfortable with electronic records.

Responsabilités

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, no evenings or weekends.
• Quality vs. Quantity Model—average 18–22 patients per day.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health care providers.
• Daily administrative time built into the physician's schedule.
• Care for patients 18+ with chronic disease management, wellness checks, and screenings.
• Dedicated medical assistant and office support to enable full-scope practice.
