Job summary

OptumCare in Torrance, CA seeks an Internal Medicine Physician who focuses on patient care over volume. The clinician will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care in a supportive, full-scope practice.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Active CA medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Active BLS certification.
• Minimum 1–3 years of primary care experience.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, no evenings or weekends.
• Average 18–22 patients per day in a Quality vs. Quantity model.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.
• Daily administrative time built into the physician's schedule.
• See patients 18+, manage chronic diseases, wellness checks, screenings.
• 40-minute for new consults; 20-minute for follow-ups and visits.
• Dedicated support staff to allow full-scope practice.
