Job summary

Henpen Corporation in Columbus, GA seeks an Internal Medicine Physician to join our established healthcare system. You will consult with patients, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe therapies, and explain tests and treatments.

You will monitor patient progress, provide wellness guidance, immunize, maintain detailed records, refer to specialists when needed, support long-term care patients, and contribute to research on new treatments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medicine (MD/DO) required.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Georgia required.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or board eligibility within a defined timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other care to treat or prevent illness.
• Explain procedures and test results to patients.
• Monitor patient progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
• Provide health and wellness guidance, including diet and activity.
• Immunize patients against preventable diseases.
• Maintain detailed notes of appointments and test results.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Support long-term care patients and coordinate with care teams.
• Prepare official health documents or records as needed.
• Contribute to research on testing and development of new treatments.

Our client a well established healthcare system in Columbus, GA is seeking a Internal Medicine Physician to add to there team.

Internal Medicine Physician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.


• Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.


• Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.


• Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients.


• Monitoring patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.


• Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.


• Immunizing patients against preventable diseases.


• Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.


• Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.


• Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.


• Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary.


• Conducting research into the testing and development of new medications, methods of treatment, or procedures to prevent or control illness, disease, or injury.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.)


• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.


• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or-if board eligible, candidate must achieve board certification in a time established by the primary care examining Board.


• Will consider new graduates but 2-5 years of experience is preferred.
