Job summary

Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL seeks a Full-time Family Practice Physician Assistant to join Dr. Widick at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm (or until all patients are seen).

At least 1+ years of outpatient primary care PA experience is required. The role includes patient evaluations, ordering tests, documentation, and collaborative care with the supervising physician.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license).
• PA board certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• At least 1+ years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant in outpatient primary care.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adults (18+).
• Ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
• Performing history and physical examinations.
• Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate.
• Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures.
• Completes necessary documentation promptly.
• Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids.
• Provides assessment of medical, physical & psychological status.
• Documents exam results & progress notes, ensuring continuity of care.

Full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Widick and his established office-based practice at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm (or until all patients are seen).

At least 1+ years of previous experience as a practicing Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is required.

Job Duties include:

• Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients (18+), including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice
• Accurately performs a history and physical examinations
• Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate
• Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures
• Completes necessary documentation promptly
• Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician
• Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status
• Documents examination results & records progress notes and provides continuity of care.
• Call details are available upon request.

Required:

• BLS certification is required.
• PA board certification is required.
