Job summary

National Wound Physician Group in Wilson, NC is seeking a part-time Internal Medicine Physician to join a mobile wound care practice. You will provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, with no nights, no calls, and no weekend obligations.

The role includes paid training during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship, with a typical 3-days-per-week minimum for part-time and 4–5 days for full-time, visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Full time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part time available.
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings (SNFs and LTACHs).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week; full-time 4–5 days per week.
• Mobile practice: visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location.
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Clincal documentation at point of care using proprietary wound EMR.
• Paid Training during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship.

Practice Overview

• Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.
• This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location.
• Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.
• Paid Training is provided during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)
