Job summary

Phoenix VA Health Care System is seeking board-eligible/board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians to join our Primary Care team across multiple clinics, including Phoenix 32nd Street, Phoenix Southwest, Scottsdale, and Surprise.

Work schedule features Monday to Friday shifts with options for 5/8-hr or 4/10-hr days, no nights, weekends, or on-call duties. Expect a patient panel of 8–18 and a focus on individualized care within a supportive VA environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active U.S. medical license required to work at VA facilities.
• Ability to manage a patient panel of 8 to 18 patients per day.

The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) is seeking board-eligible/board-certified (BE/BC) Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians to join our Primary Care team. Current openings include our Phoenix 32nd Street Clinic, Phoenix Southwest Clinic, Scottsdale Clinic, and Surprise Clinic.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Flexible shifts: 5/8-hour shifts or 4/10-hour shifts, depending on the clinic
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties!

Patient Care

• Manage a patient panel of 8 to 18 patients per day
• Focus on individual patient care with a smaller patient panel size

Board certification is required to receive 5 days of paid CME leave. This position is eligible for the EDRP, a student loan repayment program. Specific eligibility requirements must be met, and the application submitted within four months of your start date. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office. Former participants are ineligible.
