Skilled Wound Care is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians in Birmingham, AL to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday role offers the chance to practice clinically with autonomy and reduced administrative burden.

The position supports MDs/DOs with unrestricted licenses and a clear path to wound care training, including debridement and bedside procedures. Flexible full-time or part-time options are available to fit your life.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in state of practice or eligibility.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care or procedural experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsabilités

• Perform wound care and provide medical management for chronic wounds.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Manage underlying conditions that affect wound healing (diabetes, vascular disease, etc.).
• Utilize advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings to follow patients through healing.
