Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in Baton Rouge, LA, for full- or part-time engagement without night calls. The role focuses on wound care expertise in skilled nursing facilities, performing debridement and bedside procedures with comprehensive training provided.

You will deliver outpatient internal medicine care, manage chronic conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve wound healing outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the practice state or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care procedures, including debridement and bedside care.
• Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities in the Baton Rouge area.
• Provide outpatient internal medicine care with no-call, Monday–Friday schedule in many cases.
