Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in Austin, TX to lead wound care initiatives. Expect no-call duties, a Monday–Friday schedule, and opportunities to treat chronic wounds in outpatient and skilled nursing settings.

You will perform debridement and bedside procedures with full training. A strong focus on clinical autonomy, efficient documentation, and patient follow-up is emphasized to improve healing outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Wound care training provided by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Manage underlying conditions affecting wound healing.
• Utilize advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with care teams in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.

Internal Medicine Physician Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

Internal Medicine Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
