Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, is hiring an Internal Medicine Pharmacist to coordinate drug distribution, supervise technicians, verify orders, and prepare IV admixtures. The candidate must hold an active Georgia Pharmacist license and a Bachelor's degree; PGY-1 Residency and Board Certification in Internal Medicine are highly preferred to join our

Qualifications

• Clear and active state of Georgia Pharmacist license required
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• PGY-1 Residency required; Board Certification with experience in Internal Medicine strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drug distribution activities under supervision, including supervision of pharmacy technicians, order verification, and preparation of parenteral products.
• Provide pharmacokinetic consults, monitor targeted drugs, antimicrobial therapy recommendations, and evaluate drug therapy for disease state, host factors, and cost effectiveness.
• Serve as a source of drug information to medical and nursing staff.
• Perform patient care unit inspections to meet regulatory requirements.
• Minimize medication-use errors using STOP, THINK, ACT and REVIEW and follow high-risk handling procedures.
