Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) is seeking an Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our AMG employed team.

This is a full-time, 7-on/7-off inpatient role at a premier Level 1 trauma center with 800+ beds, focusing on high-acuity patients and collaborative care across 22–23 physician teams. You will manage a daily census of 15–16 patients, work with an admissions team, utilize Sunrise EMR, and have access to PSLF opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Indiana licensure required before hire.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (ACLS acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Practice at a premier Level 1 trauma center with 800+ beds.
• Manage a daily census of 15–16 patients with focused rounding.
• Join a large network of over 80 providers across 22–23 physician teams.
• Work within a closed ICU model supported by dedicated intensivists.
• Utilize Sunrise EMR to coordinate care across the medical group.
• Engage with residency and fellowship programs for scholarly activity.
• Eligible for PSLF under AMG employed contract and salary benefits.

• High-Acuity Clinical Exposure: Practice at a premier Level 1 trauma center and 800+ bed flagship facility, covering diverse adult units including the burn center and the new brain and spine center.
• Drive Clinical Excellence: Manage a manageable daily census of 15–16 patients, focusing on high-quality rounding while a dedicated admissions team handles intake.
• Collaborative Team Environment: Join a massive, growing team of over 80 providers working within 22–23 physician teams daily, ensuring a supportive peer network.

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) is our flagship 800+ bed facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center. It serves as a regional hub with 8 Centers of Excellence, including the Heart Center, Transplant Center, and the Lucas Family Brain & Spine Hospital. As a comprehensive medical destination, it also houses a dedicated Burn Center and is recognized for its advanced clinical capabilities across all adult specialties.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
