Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Internal Medicine-Premier in High Point, NC is seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver high-quality outpatient care. You will work under a supervising physician in a collegial team of 4 physicians and 4 APPs, with Monday–Friday hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm and a 4.5-day direct patient care schedule.

The role emphasizes no nights or weekends, minimal call, and productive clinic performance with a strong focus on preventative care,

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant with current credentials.
• Ability to work in a collaborative primary care setting.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient internal medicine setting.

Position Highlights

Functions independently in the primary care office setting in collaboration with a supervising physician. Includes Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Women's Health settings. Provides care that may be longitudinal, and is responsible for disease management across time, or provides care for overflow and sick visits. Emphasis on preventative care, stable acute illness reprieve, health promotion and illness/injury prevention. Alternatively, functions independently in the on-site occupational or teammate health clinic settings in collaboration with a supervising physician. Provides care that is focused on single-visit encounters. Emphasis is on illness reprieve and medication/vaccination compliance. Coordinates staffing and orientation of assigned team members. Plans and conducts ongoing education and training. Maintains infection control/safety standards, and be committed to providing and promoting patient-centered communication and care.
