Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Internal Fleet Driver to load, drive, and unload items between SpaceX sites at Starbase. You will ensure safe truck loading, maintain paperwork, and monitor vehicle condition while meeting all WMS requirements.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A license, forklift experience, and a clean DMV record. A strong team player with customer-service skills will thrive in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support loading, driving, and unloading of flight, non-flight, fabrication, and tooling items between SpaceX sites at Starbase.
• Safely load trucks at pickup points and transport truckloads to the destination following the rules of the road at all times.
• Safely load and unload trucks at designated drop-off points.
• Ensure truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destination.
• Scan barcodes and meet business WMS requirements.
• Review all documentation for correct items and delivery areas.
• Maintain paperwork to prevent damage during delivery.
• Monitor vehicle service records and report issues to the manager.
• Keep the vehicle clean and refuel when low.
• In case of emergency, contact the supervisor with details to remedy the issue.

INTERNAL FLEET DRIVER (STARSHIP)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support loading, driving, and unloading of flight, non-flight, fabrication, and tooling items between SpaceX sites at Starbase
• Safely load trucks at pickup points and transport truckloads to the destination following the rules of the road at all times
• Safely load and unload trucks at designated drop-off points
• Responsible for ensuring truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destination
• Responsible for scanning barcodes, meeting business WMS requirements
• Review all documentation for the correct items to be delivered, as well as the precise delivery area
• Maintain all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during delivery
• Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to the manager immediately
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and refueling when low
• In case of an emergency, contact the immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy the issue

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of professional commercial driving experience
• 1+ years of professional forklift experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Counter-balance sit-down forklift experience
• Material handling and heavy-haul driving experience (over 26k GVW)
• Experience driving for a high volume manufacturing environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
• Strong customer-service delivery background
• CDL Hazmat endorsement
• CDL Tanker endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean DMV record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
