Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking an Internal Controls professional to lead the ICFR program, liaison with process owners and auditors, and coordinate fieldwork for timely, complete control documentation.

You will perform risk assessments, support remediation plans, and help ensure SOX compliance. A Bachelor’s in accounting or finance is required, with strong communication and collaboration skills across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating fieldwork for audits.
• Ability to communicate with management, auditors, and process owners.
• Experience with risk assessment and remediation planning.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between process owners and outsourced audit services.
• Coordinate fieldwork activities for timely submission of control documentation.
• Support control testing and remediation plans.
• Effectively communicate testing status and corrective actions to leadership.
• Perform financial risk assessments and propose improvements to the control environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely remediation of control gaps.
• Facilitate the ICFR certification process with business process owners.
• Maintain accuracy of the Corporate Internal Control software solution.
• Provide reports and presentations to leadership on the control environment.
• Support annual SOX and Risk Assessment processes.
• Provide training to process owners.
