Job summary

BerryDunn's Technology Assurance Services is seeking a Summer 2027 Internal Controls Audit Intern at our Portland, ME headquarters. You will learn SOC examinations, assist the engagement lead, and gain hands-on experience with NIST and ISO frameworks.

Qualified students will work 40 hours weekly, pursue CISA, and develop analytical and communication skills while collaborating with a supportive team on diverse client projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student in a Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Information Security, Information Technology or Security and Risk Analysis program
• Available to work a minimum 40 hours per week during the summer session
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Desire to obtain Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certification
• Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply industry frameworks (NIST, ISO) across client engagements
• Assist engagement lead with planning and preparing engagements
• Monitor and track action items, issues, risks, and decisions
• Perform testing during SOC examinations
• Work in a fast-paced environment with skilled professionals
• Participate in staff and team meetings
