Job summary

Milan Laser Hair Removal is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist in Omaha, NE. You will craft internal content, manage calendars, and highlight milestones, culture, and leadership updates to keep employees informed and engaged.

You will partner with senior leaders, maintain operating manuals, and drive cross-functional comms projects while upholding Milan’s brand voice across channels. This role is on-site, full-time, with opportunities to shape company-wide communications.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in professional writing, copywriting, corporate communications, technical documentation, or related area.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust writing style based on audience, purpose, and communication channel.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Create clear, engaging content for internal channels, including newsletters, Slack, company-wide and clinic announcements, leadership messages, and employee campaigns.
  • Manage the internal communications content calendar and ensure recurring communications are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Highlight employee achievements, company culture, milestones, and important updates through engaging storytelling.
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences, channels, and communication needs.
  • Draft and refine executive updates, company announcements, town hall materials, video messaging, and other leadership communications.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to translate input into polished messaging.
  • Ensure leadership communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with Milan’s voice.
  • Own the accuracy, organization, and ongoing maintenance of Milan’s operating manuals.
  • Coordinate change requests with department leaders and SMEs, ensuring updates are reviewed and approved.
  • Create templates and standard language to help leaders communicate effectively.
  • Lead recurring internal communications meetings and cross-functional committees.
  • Coordinate timelines, messaging, materials, and stakeholder input across departments.
  • Help keep leaders informed and ensure messaging stays aligned across the organization.
  • Review internal communications for clarity, consistency, grammar, and tone.
  • Maintain Milan’s brand voice and communication standards across channels.
  • Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of communications before distribution.

About The Role

We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist who is an exceptional writer, highly organized, and passionate about creating communications that keep employees informed, connected, and engaged. This role is ideal for someone who can take complex information and turn it into clear, polished messaging—while managing multiple communication channels, projects, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

You’ll work closely with leaders and teams across Milan to develop communications, maintain important company resources, and ensure employees have accurate, consistent information when they need it.

Status: Full-time | Salaried

Location: Omaha, NE | On-Site

What You’ll Do
Internal Communications & Content
  • Create clear, engaging content for internal channels, including newsletters, Slack, company-wide and clinic announcements, leadership messages, and employee campaigns.
  • Manage the internal communications content calendar and ensure recurring communications are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Highlight employee achievements, company culture, milestones, and important updates through engaging storytelling.
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences, channels, and communication needs.
Executive & Leadership Communications
  • Draft and refine executive updates, company announcements, town hall materials, video messaging, and other leadership communications.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to understand their goals and translate their input into polished, effective messaging.
  • Ensure leadership communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with Milan’s voice and broader company messaging.
Operating Manuals & Documentation
  • Own the accuracy, organization, and ongoing maintenance of Milan’s operating manuals.
  • Manage version control, publishing, archiving, and approved updates to ensure employees have access to current information.
  • Coordinate change requests with department leaders and subject‑matter experts, ensuring updates receive appropriate review and approval.
  • Create templates, standard language, and communication resources that help leaders effectively communicate with their teams.
Project & Program Management
  • Lead recurring internal communications meetings and cross‑functional committees, including agendas, follow‑up items, and project tracking.
  • Manage communication projects and company‑wide initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate timelines, messaging, materials, logistics, and stakeholder input across multiple departments.
  • Help keep leaders informed and ensure messaging remains aligned across the organization.
Quality & Brand Standards
  • Review internal communications for accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, and tone.
  • Maintain Milan’s brand voice and communication standards across channels and documents.
  • Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of communications before they are distributed.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in professional writing, copywriting, corporate communications, technical documentation, or a related area.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust your writing style based on the audience, purpose, and communication channel.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working directly with leaders and subject‑matter experts to gather information and turn it into clear, employee‑friendly communications.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings and keep projects moving.
  • Experience managing documentation, including version control and revision tracking.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
