Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional for an onsite leadership role. You will lead audits, participate in risk assessment, and ensure evidence-based conclusions with a clear understanding of processes and risks.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned audits and participates in annual risk assessment to identify risks for the audit plan.
• Leads audits: plans timing, scope, testing and reporting; identifies obstacles and risks.
• Leads kickoff and exit meetings; prepares written deliverables for stakeholders and guides staff.
• Acts as a business consultant on complex issues and maintains relationships with audit and non-audit customers.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned audits. Participates in the annual risk assessment, identifies areas of risk to add to the plan. Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, evidence, circumstances and risk.
• Lead audits. Plans the timing, scope, testing and reporting of the audit. Identifies and problem-solves obstacles, risks and issues.
• Leads kickoff and exit meetings without Audit Leadership in attendance. Prepares written audit deliverables for stakeholders. Gives instructions to others, including answering staff questions.
• Participates in initiatives while acting as a business consultant on complex issues. Sustains relationships with key audit and non-audit customers.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
