Job summary

North Star Mutual Insurance is seeking an individual to support internal audit activities, including documentation, testing, issue tracking and report issuance. The role requires strong writing, attention to detail, analytical ability and effective collaboration with colleagues.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. A 2- or 4-year degree is preferred, prior accounting or insurance experience is helpful but not required.

Job description

North Star Mutual Insurance is looking for an individual to assist with various aspects of internal audit activities, such as control documentation, control testing, issue tracking, and report issuance.
Individuals who are detail-oriented, have excellent writing proficiency, possess sound analytical skills, interact well with others, skillful in Microsoft Excel and Word, and can comprehend business documents are encouraged to apply.
A two or four year post-secondary degree is preferred. Previous accounting and insurance related experience for this position would be helpful, but is not required.
This is a full-time in-office position.
While a variety of factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skillset, level of education and/or experience will be taken into consideration, it is anticipated this position will start at $28.85 per hour. This role may be eligible for a merit increase at the 6-month mark and then annually thereafter and is eligible for our profit-sharing bonus plan.
Starting Range $28.85 to $33.00 per hour.
