Job summary

Mapfre is seeking a highly motivated college student for a 10-week summer internship in Webster, MA. Responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Audit team with planning and execution activities for an operational audit engagement.
• Perform basic audit testing procedures, including reviewing supporting documentation, validating data, and documenting results under supervision.
• Assist in preparing audit workpapers and maintaining audit documentation following Internal Audit methodology.
• Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk areas.
• Analyze audit evidence and identify potential exceptions for review by audit team members.
• Research industry practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks relevant to the audit engagement.
• Assist with audit issue tracking, status reporting, and preparation of final audit documentation.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and analytics to enhance audit effectiveness.
• Develop professional communication, relationship management, and presentation skills.
