Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) is seeking an Internal Audit Intern for our Nashville, TN office from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027. You will assist audits, test SOX/ICFR controls, and contribute to risk assessments with data analytics and innovative audit methods.

The program targets rising seniors in Accounting, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science, graduating late 2027 to mid-2028. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field and graduating between Nov 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; Nashville internship location.
• Relocation assistance may be provided if not based in Nashville.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of audits.
• Support SOX and ICFR control testing.
• Verify that operations run in a controlled environment with risk-management processes.
• Evaluate internal controls using a risk-based auditing approach.
• Develop innovative approaches using data analytics, automation, and agile audit methods.
• Follow up with management on identified issues and verify resolutions.
• Communicate audit results clearly to management and audit leadership.
