Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta offers an internship program in Internal Audit designed to expose students to risk assessments, planning, fieldwork, testing, and reporting. You will receive basic training and hands-on experience while shadowing a tenured auditor across the audit lifecycle.

Eligible students are enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate program, expect a 40-hour work week for 10–12 weeks, and can benefit from professional development, networking, and on-site resources.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the internship.
• GPA above 3.0 in a rigorous curriculum.
• Commitment to a 40-hour work week for 10–12 weeks in the summer.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of the audit cycle including risk assessments, planning and walkthroughs with stakeholders, fieldwork, control testing, and reporting.
• Learn fundamental concepts and processes of the bank's Internal Audit function with basic training.
• Gain on-the-job-training through shadowing a tenured auditor throughout the Audit Lifecycle.
• Participate in additional project opportunities during the program.
