Great American Insurance Group's AFG Internal Audit Department is seeking motivated intern candidates to support safeguarding assets and the reliability of financial and operational records through internal audit activities. As an Internal Audit Intern, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with audit projects, evaluating internal controls, and supporting governance, risk management, and compliance.

Summers 2027 start; potential to continue part-time during the school year.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business major.
• Must have effective verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, Copilot, etc.) and Adobe Pro is strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform internal audits and review internal controls for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Test the reasonableness of financial balances and ensure compliance with statutory and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare electronic audit workpapers in accordance with company and external audit standards.
• Inform the audit coordinator of the progress of assignments and discuss results and recommendations for improvement with audit team and company management.
