Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking an Internal Advisor Consultant in Boston to build and maintain client relationships and guide investment selections through a consultative sales process. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior sales leaders, business planning, and meeting growth objectives in a client-centric, in-office culture.

Base pay starts at $60,000 annually with potential bonus and long-term incentives; full-time exempt position in AMINV US Asset Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of sales or financial services experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Licensing: Series 7 (or SIE plus Series 7 Top-Off) and Series 66 (or Series 63 & 65) or ability to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deepen relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Assist clients in investment selection with a consultative sales process.
• Partner with senior salesperson to develop a business plan designed to meet goals and objectives.
• Reach out to clients and prospective clients and respond to questions in a knowledgeable, timely fashion.
• Demonstrate an understanding of clients’ business, sales trends and portfolio features.
• Maintain notes on client interactions and effectively prepare for client calls and meetings.
• Research and communicate industry changes and trends that may impact company or product positioning.
