Job summary

INTRUST Bank in Wichita, Kansas invites you to join its 12-week Summer Internship Program, offering hands-on experience across technology areas from application support to AI and ML. You'll work closely with mentors and managers, contribute from day one, and learn through rotation and capstone projects.

As a student pursuing a degree in CS/SE/IS/MIS, you’ll gain practical skills, engage in professional development through The Fellows Program, and network with peers while building a resume-ready

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, MIS or related IT field.
• IT-related experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hardware, software, and other systems for the Technology Business Unit.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
• Manage projects and tasks according to timelines.
• Document processes and solutions from troubleshooting.
• Engage with internal/external parties to support applications, updates, and upgrades.
• Assist with AI, ML, programming, analytics and help desk support as needed.
• Demonstrate good judgment and protect confidential information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: Actively contribute to meaningful INTRUST technology projects and initiatives. This position may shadow multiple technology positions and train in a variety of tasks and/or focus in a specific area where they can provide the most contribution. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all he or she does in the community, and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality, and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s character qualities.

Essential Functions:

• Support the Technology Business Unit in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
• Manage assigned projects and tasks according to timelines provided.
• Assist with documenting processes and solutions derived through troubleshooting.
• Engage with internal and external parties to facilitate maintenance of applications, updates, and upgrades.
• Lend IT support in areas such as AI and machine learning, programming, analytics, help desk technical support and system and application solutions.
• Consistent use of good judgment and critical thinking skills to protect INTRUST Bank.
• Complete any other assigned responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or lead.

Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, MIS , Business Information Systems, Business or Engineering with IT focus (other related majors may be considered). IT related experience a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to learn new technologies and process information quickly. Critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to multitask. Cope well under pressure. Must have excellent customer service skills and communication skills – both oral and written. Respect for details; ability to execute accurately at a high level without excess supervision.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: None.

Physical Demands: Long periods of time will be spent viewing personal computer, sitting, standing and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions.
