Job summary

Zipline in South San Francisco is seeking an SIE Intern to help improve manufacturing operations and quality at critical suppliers. You will work with internal and external teams on design for manufacturability, assembly, process design, and QC to meet Zipline's quality and delivery targets.

You will gain exposure to DFx, process documentation, CAPA, and KPI tracking while collaborating in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least completed the second year of your undergraduate studies.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (NX preferred) and reading engineering drawings (with GD&T).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and APQP/PPAP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in DfX discussions to optimize manufacturability and efficiency.
• Assist with planning, budgeting, design, procurement, and validation of assembly lines at Zipline or CM sites.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Process Flows, FMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
