The Learning and Development Intern will play a key role in supporting a team of instructional designers and learning and development professionals. This internship offers hands‑on experience in the creation, delivery, and management of educational materials, as well as exposure to best practices in instructional design and adult learning.

The Internship Program at BCBSM is designed to enhance the skills and abilities of young professionals as well as to identify and attract future talent for our organization. Our program is an excellent way for interns to get a good start on their careers by working on meaningful projects, learning valuable skills, and networking with employees throughout our organization, which could potentially allow interns to build a future career at BCBSM.

Responsibilities

Teamwork

Collaborate with instructional designers to design and develop training programs, job aids, and multimedia content. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and feedback reviews to enhance learning products.

Design

Support the implementation of instructional design best practices, including the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate).

Assist

Assist in managing project timelines, tracking deliverables, and maintaining documentation.

Quality Assurance

Ensure all learning materials meet accessibility and quality standards.

Research

Research emerging learning technologies and recommend innovative solutions for course delivery.
