Job summary

HPM, Inc. invites students pursuing construction management or related engineering degrees to join our 2027 Summer Internship program. Interns will work 40+ hours per week for 10–12 weeks, gaining real project experience on-site with our Englewood, CO and Anchorage, AK teams.

Junior interns will assist project teams, learn our contract processes, and participate in meetings, safety talks, and documentation tasks, while exploring opportunities in our Federal, Commercial, and Civil sectors.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college program related to construction.
• Has completed at least two years of coursework.
• Must be a US citizen and 18+.
• Strong safety mindset and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team with field documentation and daily reports.
• Attend and contribute to daily/weekly project meetings.
• Support submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Gain exposure to contract drawings, specs, and shop drawings.
• Perform hands-on field tasks and surveying as needed.

HPM is seeking college students in Construction Management/Construction Project Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or other construction-related degree programs for our 2027Summer Internship program. We are hiring several interns for both our Englewood, CO and Anchorage, AK locations. Our interns work alongside our teams in the field, contributing to real projects and learning what it takes to be a solutions provider for our clients, partners, and people.HPM expects our interns to work 40+ hrs/week for a minimum of 10 weeks. By end of summer, lead morning stretch & flex with project team including safety/toolbox talks.Perform tasks related to the collection of schedule data required to monitor project progress.Assist in the packaging and preparation of submittals, change orders, RFIs, and posting of contracting documents.Become familiar with contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure compliance of work and gain overall understanding of scope of work.Assist with project tasks as assigned, could be a variety of hands-on field work, surveying duties, computer-based tasks, depending on project needs.Other Duties:Please be aware that this job description may not encompass all duties or responsibilities expected of the employee.
