Job summary

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. seeks motivated Construction Management Interns to gain hands-on experience in both field and office operations.

You will collaborate with seasoned Project Managers, Superintendents, and other construction professionals on active projects, building technical and leadership skills. This internship covers all phases of commercial construction, including document control, scheduling, safety initiatives, field observations, and punch list inspections, with

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with daily construction management activities.
• Support document control, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Participate in jobsite safety initiatives and quality control processes.
• Conduct field observations, safety walks, and punch list inspections.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with project teams to support project goals and milestones.
• Assist with scheduling, project tracking, and coordination efforts.
• Participate in intern training sessions focused on estimating, project management, scheduling, VDC/BIM, and field operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
