Job summary

US Foods offers a Summer Internship Program designed for students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects in a hybrid environment. Interns will work on front-end and/or back-end web development, create APIs, and participate in performance feedback with mentors and leaders.

The program runs June–August, is full-time and paid, and may lead to full-time opportunities depending on availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Science or related area of study.
• Must be enrolled in school during time of internship; typically between Junior/Senior years or 1st/2nd year of graduate school.
• Coursework or skill in object-oriented programming and Java development.
• Experience with front-end web development languages and web app development.

Responsibilities

• Assist ideation from concept to delivery for projects.
• Gather information from existing systems and prepare detailed specs.
• Develop moderately complex programs and ensure they meet standards.
• Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
• Create documentation for program code and technical processes.
