Job summary

Interview Kickstart is a premier remote-first platform delivering rigorous tech interview prep. We offer a fully remote environment and hire talent globally to build scalable backend systems.

You will own backend features end-to-end, build robust RESTful APIs, and collaborate with product and design to craft reliable, testable software. A strong foundation in Python/Django and modern web stacks is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building robust RESTful APIs in production systems.
• Familiarity with Python, Django or DRF.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Currently pursuing or recently graduated in CS or related field.
• Experience with Git and version control.

Responsibilities

• Own the backend for features end-to-end — from design and API development to deployment and monitoring in production.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs, and continuously improve the performance and reliability of existing ones.
• Write clean, well-tested code, and take ownership of unit/integration tests for everything you ship.
• Triage and resolve production issues quickly when they come up, then get back to planned sprint work — reliability comes first.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to translate requirements into solid technical solutions.
• Review code, share feedback, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.
• Bonus: if you enjoy front-end work too, there’s room to contribute to our NextJS/jQuery front end.
