Responsibilities

• Analytics & Insights: Analyze shrink, sales, and ops data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build reports, scorecards, and dashboards for leadership.
• Conduct root cause analysis to understand drivers of shrink and ops performance.
• Assist with KPI tracking and measurement of shrink reduction initiatives.
• Develop executive-level summaries that communicate findings and recommendations.
• Support ad hoc analyses for business reviews and leadership presentations.
• Strategic Initiative Support: Assist in shrink reduction strategy development.
• Support company-wide programs focused on improving operational execution and profitability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, and Asset Protection partners on strategic projects.
• Research industry trends related to shrink and retail operations.

Stop & Shop Summer Internship Program

Duration: 10 weeks

The Stop & Shop paid summer internship program offers undergraduate students (Junior and Senior) the opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world projects that make an impact. Stop & Shop's corporate support office provides an ideal environment to explore the complexities of the grocery industry. Interns gain valuable experience while developing leadership capabilities and business knowledge, with access to learning and development sessions, networking opportunities, and exposure to Stop & Shop's culture.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

We have a hybrid work environment that requires a minimum of three days per week in the Quincy, MA Corporate Support Office (accessible by MBTA and Commuter Rail).

The Shrink Strategy & Analytics Intern will support the Shrink Strategy team with a primary focus on data analysis, operational insights, and strategic business initiatives. This internship provides hands‑on experience working with retail performance data, shrink trends, operational processes, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities that improve profitability and execution.

The intern will help transform data into actionable business insights while contributing to projects designed to reduce shrink and strengthen operational performance across the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Analytics & Insights (50%)

Hourly rate: $20.00-$27.90 - rate will vary based on current academic year.
