Stop & Shop Summer Internship Program

Location: Quincy, MA

Duration: 10 weeks

The Stop & Shop paid summer internship program offers undergraduate students (Junior and Senior) the opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world projects that make an impact. Stop & Shop's corporate support office provides an ideal environment to explore the complexities of the grocery industry. Interns gain valuable experience while developing leadership capabilities and business knowledge, with access to learning and development sessions, networking opportunities, and exposure to Stop & Shop's culture.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

We have a hybrid work environment that requires a minimum of three days per week in the Quincy, MA Corporate Support Office (accessible by MBTA and Commuter Rail).

The Commercial Finance Intern will support our Commercial Finance team by assisting with reporting, analysis, and process documentation. This role provides hands-on exposure to sales and margin analytics within a fast-paced grocery retail environment and offers the opportunity to build strong analytical, organizational, and professional skills.

What You'll Do:

• Support the Commercial Finance team on weekly Excel-based reporting, supporting analysis of sales and margin performance
• Participate in meetings with analysts and managers to review weekly results, understand trends, and identify performance drivers
• Assist with monthly finance team meeting preparation, including content coordination, meeting logistics, and communication support
• Work with finance team members to document current onboarding and key operational processes, helping identify opportunities for clarity and improvement
• Support ad hoc analysis, reporting, and documentation projects as needed

• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to learn new tools, concepts, and processes with openness to feedback
• Intermediate Excel experience

Hourly rate: $20.00-$27.90 - rate will vary based on current academic year.
