Zions Bancorporation invites applicants for a Summer 2027 Paid Internship as a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to support the Corporate Quantitative Analytics group. The role focuses on model development, data preparation, and presenting results to senior management.

A strong foundation in statistics and ML is required. Basic qualifications include pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, math, CS or related fields, with experience in Python/SQL/R/SAS and GCP/Git.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools: Python, SQL, R, SAS.
  • Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning.
  • Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus.
  • Experience with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, GPUs, and Git is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling.
  • Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models.
  • Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results.
  • Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models.
  • Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results.
  • Help prepare presentations for senior management.

Zions has an excellent opportunity available for a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics group responsible for model development.
