Job summary

KB Signaling in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. You will support product and process quality for new and existing signaling products, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.

This role requires a degree in Quality Engineering or related field, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. You will collect data, identify trends, maintain quality documentation, and participate in audits and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quality Engineering or related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Minimum Year: Entering Junior Year.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support Quality Assurance with product and process quality activities for new and existing products.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quality data; support identification of trends, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help prepare and maintain quality documentation, including plans, Inspections.
  • Participate in process audits, and continuous-improvement projects as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to promote quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Essential Functions
  • Support Quality Assurance with product and process quality activities for new and existing products.

  • Basic understanding of quality principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Comfort using data to support decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education

Degree: Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Minimum Year: Entering Junior Year.
